Via de Cristo is a fellowship of choice for those seeking to reengage and revitalize their spirituality and those seeking to explore anew their relationship with God within an accepting and supportive community based on the life and teachings of Jesus. Whether you are seeking a place to rethink and rebuild your life, or a community passionate about helping others...Via de Cristo United Methodist Fellowship is not just a place to go, but a fellowship of choice with something to do.
Via de Cristo embodies the United Methodist ideal of Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors -- our fellowship encourages you to explore your faith as it interfaces with every aspect of your life.
Open Hearts: We Are a Caring Church
Discovering “the way of Christ” at Via de Cristo is about becoming part of an inclusive community with a passion for all God’s people – where you will be welcomed as you are and assisted in finding your way.
Open Minds: We Are a Thinking Church
Are you ready for a church that encourages you to think? Theology that challenges the religious status quo? Then you'll be among friends at Via de Cristo, a refreshing community of progressive, thinking Christians seeking a deeper understanding of the Bible, its history and context, and Christ's call to discipleship. Here you'll find encouragement not to "toe the line," but to develop your own personal spirituality and be strengthened along the way by the fellowship of fellow seekers. Open Doors: We Are a Serving Church
We enjoy serving others at Via de Cristo. Join us as we serve the homeless at the New Day Center in South Phoenix, mentor a family with Open Table, and visit the sick in area assisted living homes.
During February 2010 our congregation shipped over 200 health kits to be distributed to the people of Haiti by the United Methodist Committee on Relief.
